FAQ

Are you a licensed engineering firm?

Yes. Edge Quantum Power LLC employs licensed Professional Engineers (PE) registered in California. All engineering deliverables are reviewed, signed, and stamped by a California-licensed PE. We carry professional liability (E&O) insurance in addition to general liability.

What project types do you typically work on?

We work on a wide range of project types including commercial tenant improvements, industrial power systems, solar PV installations, data center power infrastructure, EV charging systems, water and wastewater facilities, and municipal projects. If it requires electrical engineering in California, we can likely help.

What does a typical engagement cost?

Engineering fees depend on project type, scope, and complexity. A small commercial TI electrical design might start at $3,500–$8,000. A full industrial power system design or arc flash study for a large facility could range from $15,000–$80,000+. We always provide a fixed-fee proposal after a free scope review — no hourly billing surprises.

How quickly can you deliver?

Turnaround depends on project complexity. Simple plan sets for small TI projects can be delivered in 1–2 weeks. Full power system designs and studies typically take 3–8 weeks. We commit to a schedule in our proposal and we hold to it. For urgent projects, expedited delivery is available.

Do you provide stamped drawings for permit submittal?

Yes. All of our design packages include drawings signed and stamped by a California-licensed PE, ready for AHJ permit submittal. We also prepare the calculation packages and supporting documents required for plan check, and respond to any plan check comments at no additional charge.

Do you support construction after the design is complete?

Yes. We offer construction administration (CA) services including responding to RFIs, issuing addenda, reviewing submittals, interpreting design intent, and supporting commissioning and startup. CA can be included as part of the original scope or added separately as construction progresses.

What geographic area do you serve?

Our primary service area is the greater San Francisco Bay Area — Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Mateo, and San Francisco counties — with regular projects in the Tri-Valley, East Bay, and Central Valley. We can support projects throughout California with remote engineering services and periodic site visits.
